The crux of the matter is that I’m stepping away from Sam’s story for the time being.
Every time I return to the manuscript, I feel drained. Writing it doesn’t bring me joy anymore. Over the past two years, I’ve faced significant health challenges, and working on this book has unfortunately become a trigger for me. These emotions seep into the story, affecting its quality.
This decision hasn’t been easy, especially with the book so close to completion. It’s more than two years overdue. I left the Peacekeeper’s Harmony series on a cliffhanger and haven’t delivered on it.
However, it’s time to let go of what isn’t working. Creativity can’t be forced, despite my efforts and dedication. In less time than I’ve spent on this single story, I wrote nine books and two novellas.
I’m not abandoning Sam indefinitely. I’m not leaving the Trellisverse behind. Instead, I’m shifting my focus to another writing project for now. Writing has always been my solace, and I miss that feeling of joy.
Since I’m no longer working on the book, I’ve refunded all preorders. Thank you for your understanding.
